Whether you live to eat or eat to live, food is essential to our lives and one of the most important influencers of our health and wellbeing. It's also a hugely emotive and attention grabbing topic, barely a day goes by without a headline about the latest superfood or diet that can help us live longer, look younger or avoid ill-health.
While there is so much confusing and often over-hyped information on food and diet, one thing is absolutely certain ... eating a wide range of real, natural, whole foods is one of the best things we can do for our health. How fantastic is that ... every day, with every meal we have an opportunity to improve our wellbeing, it’s one of the few aspects of healthcare that is truly within our control.
And the good news is that eating well does not have to be boring, tasteless or dull! I believe all of us can learn to fall in love with the amazing pleasures and benefits of healthy foods with a little help and inspiration. That’s where I come in, I love food, it’s one of my great pleasures in life and I also love the way that nourishing myself well has turned my health around. As a Nutritional Therapist I’m passionate about helping others to do the same.
Nutritional Therapy is a personalised approach to nutrition that draws on the best of nutrition science and uses this to help clients understand how their diet and lifestyle might be impacting on their health and vitality, and how making even simple changes can have hugely positive impacts. Whether you have a specific health concern, want to lose weight naturally or just feel more energised and alive, good nutrition can help you achieve your goals.
Nutritional Therapy is not a replacement for medical advice but it works very well alongside conventional medicine, ensuring people have all the essential nutrients they need to support their healing and improve their wellbeing.
Vitalise nutrition is run by me, Nicky Robinson, a highly qualified and experienced Registered Nutritional Therapist with a passion for nourishing food, creative cooking and inspiring people to take control of their health and wellbeing through eating deliciously and nutritiously well.
I welcome all clients whether they have a specific health condition that may benefit from nutritional support or just want to eat better and experience the many benefits of a nourishing diet. My approach is friendly and supportive, and recognises that we all have busy lives and nutritional change needs to fit with this. As well as practical advice and support I can provide action plans, meal planners, recipes and other helpful resources.
With my personal and professional experience, I have particular interests in gut health and food sensitivities, inflammatory and immune related conditions, healthful ageing and disease prevention, and helping people live well with cancer.
